Describing market and manufacturing conditions as "extremely challenging," the US giant has decided to close a key manufacturing plant in Iowa. The closure will idle 300 workers. The story, reported in TheStar.com of Toronto, says the company will be moving some of the Charles City production of Class C motorhomes to its major facility in Forest City, Iowa. The closure follows a similar one made in January that threw another 300 employees into the jobless lines. Following the announcement, made on Moday, the company's stock dropped to a 52 week low, according to reports from the Associated Press. However, that news outlet added more flesh to the Star report. It indicated that while the plant is closing, the company holds out that if market conditions improve, the plant might yet be reopened in the future.
