Pool Noodles Are Fun, But They Can Protect Your Noodle Too!
Here a pool noodle has been cut down, sliced down the middle and used as a corner guard on my old 5th wheel bedroom slide-out room.
I hit my head on this room several times and finally decided to use my noodle and protect myself.A 5th wheel king-pin housing is also a danger in a campground. Kids riding bikes or friends walking by can easily notch their noodles on this device.
Use a Pool Noodle by cutting one slice in it lengthwise and then wrap it around the king-pin housing and secure it with a bungee chord. The bright color also helps people avoid head trauma.
I use them on my awning to prevent the cargo door from getting scratched when I raise it up. Write in the “comments” section below and tell us how you have used pool noodles in your RV adventures. Thanks for your readership! JimLabels: Safety

You can also use a strip cut the size of the windshield wipers and place over the wipers to protect the rubber on the wipers while parked for a long period of time in the hot sun.

I protect my bare toes with noodles on the dinette leg and the anchor tiedowns for the awning too. Easier to see at night too ...

Keep some various pre-cut lengths to cover your "white" fresh water hose from campsite spigot to your RV connection during potential overnight light freeze conditions. Just pre-slice down one side and wrap them over the hose/spigot. Beats a burst hose or an "iced-up" connection on the RV. You can also use the long grey foam tubes (already sliced)from the plumbing department at Home Depot/Lowes, etc. Can't tell you how many times we've stepped outside on a frosty morning only to see other RV's spewing water from a frozen water connection at the intake on the RV...or some guy in his pajamas trying to figure out why they can't get any water running in the RV. Turn off the water at the campsite spigot in a potential overnight real freeze situation of course.

Black foam pipe insulation also works well for these application, cheaper but no as colorful.

The pre-split foam pipe insulation is better. Use the 1" size (or larger). It's already split lengthwise so all you have to do is cut it to length. Home Depot has it most of the time. I've been using it for years for windshield wiper covers.

The sliding wooden doors to our bedroom rattle and the vinyl strap doesn't always hold them open so I stuffed a noodle between them and the wall of the slide. It works great! Small pieces of a noodle do the same thing for the wooden door to the bathroom.
