It's a long surface so you can pile stuff on it and it adjusts to any height you need. It also folds up and stores under the couch when not in service.

I use an ironing board that way at craft shows and have found that ankle weights placed across the bars make it less tippy.

Great dual use item too!
With a wireless printer, blue tooth or a wirless network you can forget the cords too!

We are looking forward to being RV'ers in two years when we retire. Right now my wife and I both have laptop computers that we use mostly in the living room of our home. We use folding TV tables that we can move out of the way when we aren't using them.
