RV interiors can often be modified to accommodate your particular RV lifestyle. Watch this video as the Professor shows you how to turn a bedroom TV cabinet into a storage cabinet.
Love it Jim.... Always wondered what to do with my CC La Pine's bedrooms worthless TV. I was wondering why you didn't take it to the next level and install another door from the bathroom into this new found cabinet space?
I actually started to do this myself. Hovever, I am installing a flat screen LCD TV on the new door that I am making. You are right though. There is (or was) a lot of space in this area.
Since TV will soon be going all digital, and we did not want yet another "box" to deal with, my husband and I replaced the analog TV that came with our coach with a 32" HDTV. We removed the face frame that held the old TV in and added a panel behind it. We then hinged it so that it will swing open to expose the rather large cabinet that the old TV had previously occupied. Not only do we have more storage space, but the new TV weighs less than half what the old one did. We added a wall mount to the new panel for the TV to hang on. We used heavy duty hinges and some extra support for them inside the cabinet to hold the extra weight. We simply remove the 2 screws that hold the TV to the wall mount and take the TV down when we move to avoid any accidents.
