Your Old RV Could Be A Palace To Someone In Need
As our economy heads south some families find themselves out on the street without a roof over their heads. You may think I'm kidding about this, but I've seen it and it's a real problem. An increasing number of people are loosing their homes to foreclosure every day. Watch this BBC video to learn about families living in a tent city right outside Los Angeles.Place an add in one of your local sale papers with titles like "The Thrifty Nickel" or "The Penny Saver" and you should have no problem finding a home for your old RV. It's a great way to recycle and it will greatly help a family in need. Jim Twamley, Professor of RVing

It;s a great idea, and Yahoo groups has just the group for it. It is called Freecycle, and you sign up for your area (mine is called Lincoln County Freecycle) It's a place for you to oofer or get free items.

Jim - that would be re-using, not recycling.

I commend those who would lend a helping hand or an old rv to those in need. However, I detest the BBC, a left wing news orginiztion, trying to depict the USA as an emerging third world country. Those tent cities have been there a long time, well before the so-called housing 'crisis'. Remember, more than 95% of homeowners pay their mortgages on time. It is just the few who went in way over their heads and without reading their contracts who are the causing the mortgage problem. Ignorance is the most expensive problem we have in this country.
