Wawa, Ontario, Canada -- Two people were seriously injured in mid-August when their fifth wheel rolled over near this Canadian town. While they're still "in hospital" recovering from their injuries, other passengers too, are having a time of it.
Wawa Humane Society officials report that four adult cats and 14 kittens, passengers in the fifth wheel, were caught up in the drama when the fifth wheel met up with an accident on Highway 17. One of the mother cats and a kitten died in the rollover, and another adult male cat is missing. Many of the animals were treated for shock after the incident, and the local society said that many willing volunteers had come forward to help out.
This is not one of those, "can you provide a home," for a stray. Rather, all of the cats had already been spoken for by an Alberta resident.
