Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service adds benefit

(April 23, 2008) - Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service (ERS), has added a new level of service for its members. In response to increased complexity and sophistication of RVs -- especially larger motorized units -- the program will now certify all technicians who handle roadside assistance calls.

Good Sam RV ERS offers assistance during breakdowns of RVs and all other types of vehicles, through a subscriber-based, toll-free help line. It dispatches its network of RV towing and repair companies in the United States, Canada, and Mexico to ensure that vehicles are handled properly and safely. The new certification will ensure that all assistance coordinators (ACs) who intercept calls from RVers acquire and maintain an advanced level of knowledge about RVs, how they are built, their systems and accessories, and RVing in general. This will ensure they respond appropriately to each situation and dispatch the necessary level of equipment and service.

AC certification includes an ongoing education program that includes classroom instruction and individual and hands-on training, each designed to expand the capabilities of technicians.

Good Sam RV ERS is available to members of the Good Sam Club, the world's largest RV owners' organization with more than one million member families, at a discounted rate. It is also available to non members. For more information on the benefits and enrollment, click here.
