Mexico
Camping in Mexico Course set for Wash., Ariz. and BC

Bill and Dot Bell will conduct three, four-to-five hour seminars this fall in Edmonds (Seattle), Vancouver, BC., and Tucson, Arizona.

The classes fill up fast. Bill and Dorothy enjoy teaching the course on RVing in Mexico, which offer solid information for first timers bringing a rig through Mexico. This is not a half-hour presentation like at an RV show. It is, instead, a complete course on what to do to ensure a safe and healthy trip into Mexico. Topics include wow to purify your water, how to stay healthy, vehicle insurance, road strategies and much more.

The Bell's started teaching the course four years ago while they were completing the first CD and Mexican travel website "We thought if we taught it to a few students that we would remember all the crazy questions that we had when we started out 18 years ago," said Dorothy. "The local school board told me we would be lucky to get 10 people to show up. We taught over 200 people our first year. We had to turn people away. "

The course concentrates on the basics and emphasizes the differences between Canadian and American camping and RVing in Mexico. "Mexico camping doesn't include fires and marshmallows," laughs Dorothy. "There are lots of palm trees though and coconuts. Some places are in the middle of a jungle. You can even camp at an orphanage or school for the deaf."

The courses are lively and are visual. Bill Bell is an avid photographer and has thousands of photographs to illustrate the points that they make about RVing and driving in Mexico. "We say our classes never end, says Bill. "We stay until the last question is answered and then if you forget something we are usually online every day to answer your questions."

Thousands of graduates from the seminars now are roaming annually in Mexico. "We love to hear from former students" says Dorothy, "They make it all worthwhile."

All proceeds from the Edmonds seminar will be donated to a Retts Syndrome Charity. This includes all expenses, materials rentals, etc. Chuck Woodbury and the RV Bookstore has kindly donated both the room rentals and advertising time and expenses.
