A San Bernardino firm, V.I.P. Enterprises makes its living by facelifting older RVs. The firm's owner, Valerie Permanter, says her revamp customers are an interesting cross-section: Some are bringing in RVs they've owned for years and having them revived, while other folks are buying used rigs and immediately getting them refitted, all this according to a story appearing in the Riverside paper, Press Enterprise. Permanter's outfit does all sorts of renovations. From new appliances and furniture, to laying new floor coverings. The end result, V.I.P. Enterprises' boss says, is like having a new rig for less than a $10,000 outlay. If that kind of money sounds too steep to handle at once, Valerie hastens to mention that work can be done in stages, stretching out the outlay into more managable bites. While Permanter's company doesn't do engine work, they do everything else, inside and out.
