In the past, warm-winter loving RVers have found the south Texas coast their cup of tea. But like Monarch butterflies, when spring came, their migration northward with colorful RVs was a given. But with the onrushing increase of motor fuel, more and more are simply leaving the rig in Texas, and heading home in the car--or by air. Park owners says the increase is staggering. According to an article in the Brownsville (TX) Herald, some park owners say they've never seen such numbers of rigs stored over the summer. Others report a dramatic increase in rentals of park models.
