Has anybody put a tankless water heater in their rig? I'm looking for any and all info.

New Horizons now offers the Precision Temp tankless water heater as a special option.
When we had our New Horizons built in late 2003, they talked us out of getting the tankless water heater but now offer it as a high-priced add-on.
I think their objection was that at the time, the Precision Temp did not work well in windy or sub-freezing environments without optional accessories.
I am kind of glad we did NOT get it. We burn through enough propane as is; would have been much worse with an on-demand water heater. I like to run my water heater on 120VAC whenever possible. _________________ Tom Donaldson

I have only seen one post about those on an RVand that was in another forum some time back. They loved it. I have a sister-in-law who has one in her home and she can run the washer and have both her showers in operation, and not run out of hot water. If I ever have to replace my tank, I will go tankless. _________________ Lee and Fran

I'm on my second tankless heater in my double-wide and I love it. The first one lasted about 10 years but the problem with it was that if hot water was turned on somewhere else, you got a shot of cold water in the shower. The one we have now put out 140 degree water at 3&1/2 gallons a minute. That's good enough so that if hot water is used elsewhere while using the shower, the temp drops only about 5 degrees.
The heater we have now will go into the new house when it's finished along with a second one just for the bathrooms so the laundry and kitchen has its own.
I wouldn't go back to an electric water heater for all the tea in China.

I would love to go tankless...much more efficient. I've got slow-running hot water right now, too, so wonder if my water heater may be causing some problems. If that's the case, I'll have to look seriously at tankless options for the RV. Would love to hear of any experiences others have had or know of!
